With our partnership, we were able to create awareness and drive mobile app downloads and subscriptions which were the objectives of the campaign.

As at its release, the brand wanted more subscribers to the Music+ App with competitors like Spotify, 360nobs, notjustok, tooexclusive and some others who allow users to download Nigerian music. One of the unique offerings of the app was a #NextRated feature where upcoming acts could upload their song(s) and get a chance to win a car if highly voted for. The Next Rated feature despite having a reward attached was yet to gain any organic traction which was a challenge to the brand in addition to low mobile app downloads and subscription.

Based on the insight that the audience are actively mobile, we further did a research to find out the top platforms where the target audience (millennials) was most active. We used our findings to run targeted ads across major digital and mobile platforms like Facebook, Instagram, GDN, BBM to reach the target audience. We supported this with active social media management by engaging with our users on social media. This strategy helped us in achieving the brand's objectives.

Reaching the audience in their zone

Most millennials are active on social media and the best way to reach out to them is by actively engaging with them on social. This was done by using creative and relatable contents while encouraging them with incentives to download and subscribe to the app directly from social media. This resulted in on-page engagement

Revolutionary Media Partnership to Drive Active Subscribers

There was a need to reach the millennials and increase app downloads and subscription. This was done by a strategic partnership with Opera Mini where the app was positioned as a default amongst top sites. This earned MTN Music Plus more visibility that increased the chances of downloads whenever a user clicked on it.
